Installed an AFE intake on my 2009 Scion Tc TRD 5.0 Release Series (#1527 of 2000 made). On it's 2.4ltr VVT-i 4 cylinder, manual trans, with and TRD catback exhaust. Performance at around 4800-5000 rmp'm. Have not done a Dyno but would estimate it added close to 10 whp. Torque - similar numbers as hp's but it noticeable throughout acceleration. Sound - Quiet as stock during idle, "throaty" like a small block V8 starting at about 2500 rpm's to about 5000 rpm's. On highway quiet until exceeding 80 and then there is an increase again, but not too load. Easy to install although the intake tube should be one piece instead of two that have to be jointed. I put the exact same design filter from K&N on my Charger and my Supercharged F-150. I think the AFE is just as good of quality and peformance and is certainly less expensive.
