"I wanted to help my Toyota Tundra breath easier so I researched the after market cold air intake (CAI) systems. Found that Spectre was almost half of what K and N cost. For my application (mostly low RPM) the Spectre was more than addequate. In fact if had to do it over I would propably just buy a high flow air filter for existing intake system. I think the benefit from the CIA comes at high RPM so if that's how you drive then the CAI is worth the time and money. Installation was fairly simple - a couple of hours by myself. I did have to buy one longer vacuum hose and the small vacuum hose grommet was loose in the tube so I used glue to seal it. I am a little worried about how hot the aluminum tube gets and if it will reduce the life of the air flow sensor attached to it - time will tell." —Steve Y from Burlington, KS bought a Spectre Cold Air Intake for a 2001 Toyota Tundra, 4.7L V8.
