It's doing its job. Dont have a dyno or anything but i can tell i'm getting more power. The new banks monster exhaust i just put on is probably helping a bit as well. :)

05 tundra...worth it

Reviewed By Jeff W (Findlay, OH) Reviewed for a 2005 Toyota Tundra —4/3/2012 4:36 PM

I've had the afe on for a while now but do not drive the truck a whole lot as it is not my primary car.It seems to be working as advertised, truck seems to have a little more tourky feel.Haven't tested fuel milage yet but it also seems like it has improved.I'm kinda waiting to get everything done as i am ading gibson exhaust and a performance chip. But as far as bolt on power, i would say this is worth the investment.

2005 Tundra V8

I did the install on my 05 Tundra. It took about an hour. The first thing I noticed was the sound. The truck has a deeper sound when on demand. At first I noticed a high pitch whistle sound but that went away after 5 miles of so. The power really comes out at the high rpm band. And I have noticed less lag at the start. I also installed a throttle body spacer at the same time. My results may be compounded.
