K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (50-State Legal) Reviews

K&N FIPK 4.8 2003 Chev Truck

Reviewed By WILLIAM S (Columbia Falls, MT) Reviewed for a 2009 Toyota Tundra —3/17/2006 8:16 AM

Installation was easy took about 1 hour. Hose connection to throttle body was not a friction fit, hose is approx 1/16" larger ID than throttle body OD. Other 3 hose to piping connections were all friction fit. Clamp tension is all that is holding the hose to the throttle body. Induction noise increased but not to a objectionable level, actually sounds good. Throttle response was greatly improved along with seat of the pants acceleration feeling. Start-up after installation was flaweless, smooth idle, and acceleration, did not detect any "relearn" hesitation or rough idle issues.

Not awesome but great

Reviewed By Joshua P (LAS VEGAS, NV) Reviewed for a 2005 Toyota Tundra —11/24/2016 8:13 AM

So this air intake looks amazing once out in, and sounds amazing too. Once installed there was a small but noticeable horsepower increase. The installation was easy but I must have gotten a different heat shield because with the seal on I couldnt close my hood all the way so I had to grind off about 3/4-1 inch off the top so I could use the seal and still close my hood. Outside of that the thing looks awesome and is an overall plus to any vehicle.
