I compared the cold air induction systems from K&N, Fujita, AEM, and GM Performance Parts before I chose the system from AEM. It's layout is virtually identical to the ones offered by GMPP and Fujita. I hadn't seriously considered the GMPP CAI because of it's $300+ price, and the K&N system didn't appeal to me because it's air filter is placed further back from the front bumper than the other systems (it seems the main difference between the K&N system and the other ones is the presence of the radiator cooler plate). The Fujita CAI was on back order for 1-2 months so I ordered the AEM one instead. It took me about 30 minutes to install it and it's well worth the cost and effort. At WOT, the air filter emits a "whoosh" sound, but at normal revs the cars sounds a little louder than stock (that's because all of the noise reduction OEM parts are removed).
