A bit more pep out of the SRT-8

Reviewed By Derrick H (GILBERT, AZ) Reviewed for a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee —12/17/2014 8:36 PM

There's a bit more throttle response with this installed but it's not worth the $, just like any other intake. If you want better MPGs and some noise, put playing cards on your bicycle. Another suggestion, when this is installed it is plainly visible through the front grille. I strongly suggest you install a shield to protect the filter media from water or, purchase K&Ns Drycharger.

Sweet nice price and sound

I put this on my 2005 CheVy Silverado 4x4 Z71 step side or style side truck. 5.3 liter V8 automatic. I already had the magna flow dual exhaust on it. It sounds nice and no doubt adds horsepower. I have not driven it enough or far enough to determine if it improves m.p.g. any. Oh my son installed it on a freezing cold day outside quite easily

2005 Dodge Ram 1500, 4.7L AEM intake

Reviewed By Erik L (KATY, TX) Reviewed for a 2005 Dodge Ram —12/17/2014 4:18 PM

Installation took about 4 hours on my 05 Ram 4.7L because I'm not too mechanically experienced & had trouble installing the IAT & rubber grommet in the tube. Removal & installation used a 9mm, 10mm, 13mm and 5/16" sockets along with a flathead screwdriver & an extra pair of hands at one point to install the filter. I did NOT use jack/jackstands. Idk about mileage, but throttle response has definitely improved and it roars really nice around 2.5K+ RPMs.
