The S-10 "Air Intake Kit with Enclosed Air Box" is not an accurate description of the product. It is actually just an air box replacement for the stock OEM airbox that attaches to the stock air intake duct from Mass Air Flow Sensor to Throttlebody. The description below is flawed in that no "Volant Air Duct" is included except for a 3 1/2 inch sleeve of rubber/silicon that joints the Volant air box replacement to the Mass Air Flow sensor. "Volant Air Duct: Factory air inlet ducts use sound baffles and awkward bends which restrict flow. Our Cross-Link polyethylene air ducts are sculptured to give the engine less restrictive breathing. Incorporating larger diameters and unique bends, that can't be duplicated with metal ducts, allow for maximum airflow velocity and throttle response." While Auto Anything customer service was helpful the bottom line is that the advertisement is misleading and the higher than $200 price for just an airbox should make you do some additional research before purchasing this product.

I got this intake in 4-5 days. took at least an hour to install. Nothin really to it, because my truck doesn't have MAF sensors etc... All I had to do was change the stud in the throttle body out, remove factory spacer, and breather hose, place the bonnet over the throttle body, connect the tube to the reducer, put the filter on, connect the new breather hose, to an already existing hose, tighten hose clamps. Pretty much it. Had to make one minor modification, but other than that pretty easy. Very noticeable increase in power, fuel economy too. Better than the K&N Filtercharger I had on it before. I would recommend this product to anyone. The truck has a 4.3 Liter Vortec V6 w/TBI.
