What Do Intakes Do?
A cold air intake, like the K&N 63 Series or the aFe Momentum, increases the horsepower and efficiency of an internal combustion engine by drawing in the coolest air possible and boosting the amount of oxygen your engine receives. Stock intake systems are primarily intended to eliminate engine noise. But, a performance cold air intake removes the restrictive twists, turns and chambers to deliver a more direct pathway through which the cool, fresh, performance-enhancing air may enter your engine.
Cold air intakes are available in a range of sizes and styles, each crafted for your specific year, make and model. They’re also relatively easy to install in comparison to other performance upgrades. And paired with an affordable price tag, a cold air intake is one of the most cost-effective ways for you to achieve incredible gains in power and MPG.
