Ram Air Intake with Scoop for Cummings Diesel

I did not find this unit helpful at all. I made a 220 mile run pulling my 30ft travel trailer before installing this unit and recorded all required information. I installed the Ram-Air intake w/scoop and repeated the same run. The only thing that changed is that I now have a terrible turbo whine at acceleration. Very disappointing results. Save your time and money and apply it elsewhere. I'm thinking about removing the unit and chalking this up as a bad experience

Huge waste of money. 1st of all there are outlet ducts directly behind the inlet of the scoop (in other words all of the air that enters the scoop goes directly out the back instead into the intake system). After I received the scoop I tried to get information online as to why the air is designed to straight out of the back of the scoop and found that Banks claims that they are supposed to keep rain out of your intake. I noticed absolutely no increase in power or gas mileage. Save your money!!!!
