Straight from the box onto my cold air intake, cannot get easier than that. It came with all its own hose clamps and went right on without an issue. It was shorter in overall length than the one I was replacing...wonder if K&N revised the part? Anyways, everything went well and my SUV is back to running strong.

The filter collects dirt and debris inside the ribs making it impossible to clean. I decided to buy the filter sock which costed over $30. When I received the sock I felt like it wasn't worth the money. Looks like it could have been made for less than $5. I did notice a performance increase and improvements in the way the motor sounds.
