I did not get the black curvy intake. It made my Accent engines a lot more noticeable and that's been the only modification. Got a lot less miles per gallon but that's from a heavy foot. Testing to see where I can get optimal mileage now that power test is done. You will have to remove the bumper so heads up. Other than that pretty easy install.
I bought it because it's a K&N. However, the filter is a VERY flimsy design, NOT something of high quality that I'd expect from them. One caveat, however, is that the filter's "sheer" quality may be what yields the reported outstanding flow. All I know is that the K&N filter material that is used on the V8 design is of a higher quality, ie: more of it. Either way, it is way overpriced. Probably cost K&N under 20 dollars to make in CHINA.
