Description

For some, the morning drive is just a commute. But for us passionate drivers, it's a tactical mission that puts every system on our traffic bombers to the test. Corners are hugged, on-ramps are overtaken and slowpokes are made to eat our dust. Power is paramount for success, and the best way to pump up your onboard ponies is with K&N 71 Series Blackhawk Intakes.

Custom engineered for a flawless fit, the K&N Blackhawk Induction System replaces your restrictive stock gear with a package that's guaranteed to unlock hidden horsepower. It all begins with the Blackhawk Dryflow filter, an oil-free filter that draws in huge gusts of oxygen while simultaneously stripping out airborne contaminants. From there, the air blows down a lightweight aluminum intake into the belly of your street beast, where it's transformed into hair-raising performance gains.

Not only is your K&N Blackhawk Cold Air Intake as strong as a Navy Seal, it's also as stylish as a stealth bomber. The intake tube is finished with a flat black powder coating, and the Blackhawk Filter features complementary black media. Plus, the tube comes with a polished K&N nameplate welded front and center, creating sizzling visual contrast. It comes complete with all the hardware you need for an at-home install. And, all K&N Blackhawk Induction Systems are covered by a Million Mile Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Great system!

Reviewed by Donald C (Midlothian, TX) Reviewed for a 2011 Ford F-350 — Jun 24, 2014 4:19 AM

This is a great product and is very easy to install. I have a lot faster throttle response and you can really hear the difference under the hood. A great company to deal with, super fast shipping and very low prices.

Great intake

Great cold air intake, easy to install in about 30 minutes, looks cool and pulls a lot more air than restrictive stock intake. Would recommend to anyone.

Better than most - but not perfect

Looks pretty sharp and is an easy install. However, it sits a little high and prevents the hood from closing flush on the driver side. Also, K&N apparently wanted this thing to stand out and look professional .... but the clamps that secure it were all scratched looking and take away from the visual impact. I'm eventually going to replace them to correct this.

K&N CAI

The unit was just installed 2 days ago, the piece went together without any major problems. The hose to the underside of metal kinks and some re-routing was necessary, there should have been a 90 degree fitting instead of the straight fitting. I will probably see if I can find one. Other than that the sound is great, and still have checked the mileage.

Will Pay For Itself

This was a great experience for me because it is already saving me money. I have gone from 11.8 miles per gallon to 14.2 miles per gallon of fuel in just a short period of time. My throttle response is better but nothing to brag about. I would recommend this intake to others because of its cost savings for me.

Everything it promises

Reviewed by Lonnie S (Silver Lake, KS) Reviewed for a 2012 Dodge Ram — Apr 23, 2014 11:18 AM

In addition to much quicker throttle response, I am averaging 0.6 mpg better according to the onboard computer. Installation took me 1.5 hours which included roll out and clean up. The toughest part was cutting pvc, then putting on a silicone sleeve of the same diameter -- little trouble overall. I highly recommend it.

I have used K&N products before and have always been pleased with them. The Blackhawk cold air intake system is by far the best K&N product I have used so far. I can feel and hear the difference..The gas mileage was good before but I have seen a slight increase in that area as well and that is a great bonus. Very Pleased and would recommend!!
