There is no loud 'whoosh' sound like other performance intakes. My only complaints are the instructions, where a lot of little things are left out (the instructions didn't even mention the gasket for the throttle body, I found it later and pulled everything back apart to put it on, and I still have bag left of washers and lock washers because it didn't say where to use them), and the plastic pipe fittings on the sides for some kind of bleed line, they're very cheap feeling and don't fit well. Other than those minor complaints however, great intake, and a definite performance boost for my F150.

I can't speak for any other brand of truck, but you can tell the difference that it makes. More horsepower and sounds good. Also you don't get all the warm air into your engine and you get cold air like you want. I would strongly recommend this to anybody and the price is the best place anywhere on the web. I hope you enjoy it after you install it.

I typically only install one product at a time for a trial run which is what I did with the Jet MAF, basically If I throw codes or have issues I like to know the previous installations are unrelated. I had already installed the edge, and intake, and after installing the MAF it was definitely the most instantly noticeable product. Much better throttle response and a definite pickup across the rpm band. Installation is a snap, with very basic tools you should have this done within 10 minutes. This will by no means make neck snapping horsepower but for the price it was the most notable product for the gain. I would buy this product again.

The installation took a little longer than expected due to having to disassemble some hidden bumper pieces underneath the vehicle in order to be able to install the air scoop a little easier. The vehicle runs smoother at higher speeds, but it is still to early to tell if I am getting better fuel econonmy. I surely hope so!Maybe it's me, but I think that it's a little quieter now at cruising speeds, but it still sounds great when you get on the throttle

My truck has the AFE cold air intake from AA it was tight but did'nt have to cut anything and all you need for this type of install is a 10mm socket and wrench. There is definately much better throttle response out of the hole and at higher speeds.Gas milage is about the same but in my case my truck hauls around 1000 lbs of tools daily.I have the Airaid throttle body spacer,AFE Intake and Gibson cat back exhaust all from AA this is the perfect trio for extra bolt on H.P. and MPG.No cargo I average 20 mpg with a 6 speed manual not bad for a truck. If it whistles it's working, get used to it.
