Takeda Cold Air Intakes

In the wacky world of cartoons, characters can spend hours underwater as long as they have a straw or reed to breathe through. The Takeda engineering geniuses, who apparently like to watch a lot of cartoons, picked up on this idea and applied it to automotive accessories. That’s how Takeda Cold Air Intake Kits came into being. Well, that’s one theory. Others, without a lot of imagination, would have you believe that Takeda Cold Air Intakes come into this world to unleash massive horsepower and torque. And, this more rational Takeda Cold Air Intake creation myth does make some sense. You will have a healthy dose of extra energy, torque, and throttle response after installing an Takeda Cold Air Intake. The same cannot be said about the cartoon characters and their straw snorkels.

2015 Canyon /Huge Update for Quick fix for POWER!

Reviewed By Michael d. D (Carterville, IL) Reviewed for a 2015 GMC Canyon —5/4/2016 8:15 PM

I got this on the hope for better performance. It beat all expectations. I wish I would have done this day one when I got the truck. Get the Jet Stage one for more gain. The Truck now Growls! Release the Beast under the hood. I also took the old black top and modified it. Took a power tool and took off the old intake hardware so the top would be back on top the engine. Wait till you get on the on ramp and PUNCH IT. ROOOARRRR!

good way to increase your throttle responce time

I like this intake better then the AEM intake ,install and endurance. I had a AEM and it rained and sucked up a bunch of water, not good! But didn't have that problem with K&N. I only wish they included new hoseclamps because they say to reuse oems but they don't fit after adding larger hoses. Overall great performance.
