I have a 2002 Toyota Tundra with a Binks high flow exhaust & K&N cold air intake system. The Jet Power Flow Mass Air Sensor arrived quickly & installed in just a few minutes. However there was no change in performance or gas millageover the stock unit. The hype for this device sounded great, but I would not recommend spending money on this product.
KN63 is perfect for the Tundra
It took me about 3 hours to install but this is the first time I've installed one. I took my time and followed the directions. Found a video online that showed it step by step. Once installed it fired right up and I could hear a difference right away in the tone. I've driven the truck around town the last few days and not on any highway. I've tried to be consistent in how I accelerate etc and I have gotten about 0.8mpg increase in town. Highway next week.
K&N 77 Series Metal Intake Kit
A straight forward installation, the engine cover heat shield, o.e., doesn't exactly fit the same after the installation, even with the pin extension, the back pin won't engage the hole, but it stays in place. It really does add horse power and it's sound is awesome. I think the MPG has gone down abt. 2 mpg, on the highway I used to avg. 16.1 MPG, it's now 14.4 after a 260 mi. road trip, I'm still very pleased. We'll see.
