They seem to work. The Volant cold air intake & this seem to have lowered the rpm buy about 200 @ 65 MPH. the hill climb in cruse is really noticeable, a whole lot smoother, again not as abrupt down shift. I chose the spacer because of the air intake. The install is straight forward. Auto Anything has the best deal & is a fast shipper. I hope the info. is a help in your decision.
Flawed design with noticeable shortcuts.

I was disappointed overall. This unit has only 1 bolt securing it to the engine compartment where the OEM has 4. Air filter has no real way to seal itself against the box. OEM box extends into the fender where this has a rubber / sponge seal that tries to seal itself against the engine compartment but with the 1 bolt does not hold very tight along with the wiring in the way braking the seal. Some modest increase in throttle response, but no increase in mileage or horse power. Not recommended
