Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer Reviews

Don't buy for fuel economy.

Reviewed By Nathan Y (SPRINGVILLE, UT) Reviewed for a 2008 Chevy Tahoe —7/20/2017 12:29 AM

I bought this and a Hypertech Max Energy tuner in hopes of getting a couple miles per gallon better in fuel economy. The MPG increase is minimal even when driving carefully. The throttle response is better but not worth the annoying whistling.

The installation was a breeze. Afterwards, my car is noticeably more powerful and way louder.

Apprearances matter

Reviewed By Donald T (Gardner, KS) Reviewed for a 2012 Ford F-150 —7/12/2017 10:30 AM

Certainly de-clutters the engine compartment. Well made intake tube. Casting seams, while visible are smooth to the touch (no casting flash). Nice textured finish. Easy install. If you lift the air box lid to ease installation, be sure the lid is properly seated and latched before tightening any clamps. The supplied hump hose is a lot stiffer than the OEM intake tube's accordion connection. End result: clean appearance, a bit more intake sound (noise?) at WOT, as expected.
