Hub Caps & Other Wheel Accoutrement
There’s nothing fancy about hub caps, tire pressure monitoring systems, lug nuts and
wheel studs — but you try driving your vehicle without ‘em. Hub caps and what we’ve deemed “other wheel accoutrement” keep your wheels secure, properly inflated and looking classy.
You’ve seen it: that driver with the missing hub cap. You immediately ask, “What happened? Was the thing ripped off by low-level criminals? Was it lost playing bumper cars on the highway? Is this the indication of a lonely, full-size spare?” Whatever happened, the missing hub cap is an eyesore. It’s ugly, and you know it.
But what if the missing hub cap vehicle belongs to you? “Not fair!” you say, “I haven’t had the time to replace it!” Well, now’s your chance. Luckily, we have your replacement hub cab in stock for the lowest price.
Hub Cap Parts
When
hub caps fly off the proverbial handle, there’s often quite a few pieces to replace. If your hub cap’s missing, bent or scratched so much you just can’t stand it, you’ll not only need a new hub cap, but a new hub cap clip to hold it on, and possibly a new
hub cap emblem and hub cap emblem retainer to make the whole hub cap kit look new.
Lug Nuts & Wheel Studs
But what if it’s not only your hub cap that needs replacing, but lug nuts too? Lug nuts play the important role of connecting your wheels to your vehicle by fastening to the wheel studs. While you can get by with a missing hub cap, it’s dangerous to ride with loose, corroded or missing lug nuts. Check your wheels. Is there a bolt, or wheel stud, sticking out without a nut? Then you need a new lug nut—and fast. And if your wheel stud’s snapped off, well you’ll need to replace that too.
Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems
The importance of
tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) cannot be stressed enough. Driving with under or over-inflated tires is not only dangerous, but under-inflated tires is one the top factors in inefficient fuel burn. That means, if you’re riding on flat tires, you’re wasting gas and money. If your
TPMS sensor or
TPMS valve assembly is causing your tires to leak or give a bad read, the time to replace them is now.
