Description

There's no denying the sweet looks of Putco Rocket Locker Bed Rails, or how many points they'll score you with your friends. And, you can justify getting them for "safety purposes" with the long-lasting red LED displays that light-up in tune with your brakes, hazards, turn signals and running lights.

Putco Rocket Locker Bed Rails aren't just about the incredibly cool looks, though. These truck bed rails offer an abundance of tie-down strength for containing the heaviest of loads, plus a long-lasting polished steel finish. And, you get tie-down loops at each end of the rail for roping convenience.

Installation takes just a few minutes. Simply mount your lighted truck bed rails through your stake pockets, hook-up the wires and launch your truck down the road. If you don't have stake pockets, just drill a few quick holes and bolt 'em up. Putco includes all the hardware you'll need. Your Putco Rocket Locker Bed Rails are sold in pairs and carry a Lifetime Warranty.

Notes

  • Installation note: Rocket Lockers install in minutes to vehicles with factory stake pocket holes. If your bed is not equipped with stake pockets, drilling will be required for installation.

"I am pleased with the overall quality and apperance. The installation however is another story. 1. The rocket locker ends need 3.5 inch bolts it comes with four 3 inch bolts. I had to cut down the rubber expanders to start the bolts in the threaded bottom plate nut. 2. The Chevy wiring requires 8 blue quick connects the kit comes with 6. 3. The black rubber expanders need a notch to allow the wires to pass through to the tail light area without being pinched against the steel of the stake pocket causing a potential short. A. I had to notched the black rubber expander for the wires. B. I cut 3/16 th of an inch off the bottom, and was barely able to start the threads on the plate nut to compress the rubber expanders. C. I had to go and buy more blue quick connects to complete the wiring. The kit came with a splitter to accomidate the chevy so it is known that the chevy needs the extra connection. Once I completed the modifications, and buying the extra parts all went well. PUTCO needs to review their kit for the Rocket Locker and get it right. I'm sure others will have the same experiance I did, which in turn causes you head achs with customers calling. I am pleased, as I said, with the looks and quality. I have been extreamly pleased with AutoAnythings customer service. Please let PUTCO know, and hopefully you and the customer will have a good experiance."

"We purchased these bed rails for our son who is in the Air Force and currently serving in South Korea. After I installed them I took a few photos and e-mailed them to him so he look at them, I told him they were an early Christmas present (he has a 30 day leave at Christmas). Needless to say he loved them and can't wait to get home to see them in person. I like them so much, I think I will buy a set for my truck as well."

"The rails look good...I wish the lights were brighter but they look good in the dark. The hardware for mounting wasnt the best, They use four allen headed bolts at each corner and you are suppose to put a plastic washer on each bolt. but the ones at the front where too short with the washer installed so I had to delete it at that end. Overall a good buy. They should have included an allen wrench in the hardware kit..."

Great looking bedrails

"I've been waiting for since Christmas to get these installed and I finally did today. I really love the looks of them. If you are installing these on a Nissan Titan truck with the black plastic bed caps, you will want to view the following link before installing. http://www.clubtitan.org/forums/showthread.php?t=22172 You have to be very careful when cutting out the hole for these rails. You do not cut out the indented square. If you do, the round gasket that is provided with these rails will not completely cover the whole. There are also some great pictures with that link that will be very helpful in your installation. It will definitely be worth the time and effort when you get them installed."
