"The Putco tailgate guard is an excellent product and should last for the life of my truck witch is use mainly as a car. Box was banged up on arrival but product was undamaged, although the hardware was missing. A call to Autoanything's customer service (Alex) had problem resolved and hardware shipped in a couple of days. The Pucto polished tailgate cap looks allot better than the aluminum guard I had on my last truck. Thanks for the excellent customer service as well. I look forward to dealing with Autoanything in the future."

"This product looks nice from afar but upon a closer look will reveal that the quality and fit are not up to the task of really protecting the gate. I'm almost certain that my ramps will dent this guard the first time I use them."

Straightforward installation

"This product arrived exactly as it should have with no problems. Installation was easy--I recommend pre-drilling pilot holes. It did appear that the left side of the guard was cut slightly longer than the right, making for an uneven appearance, which is why I only gave it 4 stars."

"The tail gate guard was received damaged (where the shipping box was damaged). The guard is high quality and installed easily. The guard has a protective film to protect the finish untilinstalled."

Mirror Finish

"The tailgate guard was highly polished. It was slick as a mirror. It came with four bags of what was described as "self tappiing screws". These were the cheapest pieces of crap that I have ever seen. They literally melted when trying to use them to install the guard. A trip to buy high quality stainless steel selftapping screws was made and the guard was then installed. I suggest everyone "dry fit the guard over the existing guard to see if the existing guard needs to be removed first. I removed mine first and ended up putting it back on and installing the new one over the old. It looks and fits much better this way."

"I've purchased Putco Products for Three trucks now. I'm always happy with the quality of their products. I just wish you could rely on the handling during shipping,I had to straighten one end and there were scratches and a dent near the middle of the tailgate guard."

"Overall, exactly what I was looking for. Minor problem was that it was bent slightly when I received it, but not enough to justify returning it. I gently reformed it with a rubber hammer and was able to get it back so the imperfection could only be noted after careful, close inspection. Shipment, customer Service, etc. was great. Thanks!"
