the 1 piece stainless is superior to other brands, many of which use chrome plated steel ends which get a slight color change over time and make the rails look cheap. I wish Dee Zee would put a stamped recess or counterbore in the mounting plate so the mounting bolts, with their washer and lock washer stack, would sit more flush when tightened. This is my second set of Dee Zee rails and I would recommend them to anyone.

The covers were fairly nice in appearance though I thought they would be thicker. The fit at the back on cap near tailgate was not very good. When I went to install them, I realized I had to provide the tape. I bought 4 rolls of 3M molding tape, wiped the DeeZee cap down and installed tape. I wiped the truck cap off twice with alcohol and installed caps. After 2 days they peeled off like a suntan! All that money wasted on tape now I had to go buy hardware to bolt it down to the truck.

The bed rails were packed very well and in good condition when they arrived. I read through the instructions and decided to remove the factory rail cap. I removed extra material around the rear hole. I also marked and drilled the front hole while it was off the truck. I installed both on the truck together. On the second side, I found a small ding in the rail and it wasn't completely flat, both the front and rear lift up on one side. This is barely noticeable due to the gasket. Very sturdy

The fit on rear did not completely cover the steak post holes. Left about half inch gap on each side. The base plate on rear sides NEEDS to be at least 3/4 inch wider. Other than that they look good.
