The Brite-Tread Tailgate Cap’s strength, durability and steely good looks stem from the metal it’s made from—heavy-gauge slabs of diamond-treaded aluminum. It’s also treated with Dee Zee’s special powder coating to stop rust dead in its tracks.

The Brite-Tread Tailgate Cap is custom-designed for a perfect fit onto your rig. Plus, you get to choose between two rugged finishes: the Polished BriteGuard or sleek Black-Tread.

Your Brite-Tread Tailgate Cap installs securely using both 3M adhesive and a system of hidden bolts. What’s more, it comes with all mounting hardware and a 1-year warranty.

  • For the most secure mount possible, some light drilling is required to install your Brite-Tread Tailgate Cap.

"You sent shiny aluminum. I ordered black. But to avoid hassle and mailings etc. I accepted the shiny and installed it anyway. Also, I thot I read that cap to be installed with double stick tape. There was no tape. Only 4 screws and only 2 holes in the cap. Leave it alone and I have accepted it and forgot about it."

"I had the same cover on my tailgate shortly after I got the truck. However, I managed to tear it up with the 4 wheeler winch hitting it when loaded on the bed, then a 1200 lb wet bale slid off the bed and tore the cap off with it bending it beyond repair. So i got the same one again. Will be more careful this time. Looks good on the truck. This is the only one I saw that took screws to hold it in place instead of a lame line of tape like the others"

"Very good quality in what I purchased from your company. The only thing I didn't like was that the cap does not go down far enough on the side that is visible (outside portion of tailgate) and when I removed the plastic black top that came with truck when I purchased it, there were four (4) holes on the outside that the DeeZee Tailgate cap did not go down enough to cover those factory holes that were on the tailgate."
