The Brite-Tread Tailgate Cap’s strength, durability and steely good looks stem from the metal it’s made from—heavy-gauge slabs of diamond-treaded aluminum. It’s also treated with Dee Zee’s special powder coating to stop rust dead in its tracks.

The Brite-Tread Tailgate Cap is custom-designed for a perfect fit onto your rig. Plus, you get to choose between two rugged finishes: the Polished BriteGuard or sleek Black-Tread.

Your Brite-Tread Tailgate Cap installs securely using both 3M adhesive and a system of hidden bolts. What’s more, it comes with all mounting hardware and a 1-year warranty.

  • For the most secure mount possible, some light drilling is required to install your Brite-Tread Tailgate Cap.

"I bought this Tailgate Cap for my wife for her 2009 F250 Super Duty with the impression it would replace the factory plastic cover installed. It does not it goes over the plastic cover and it is of no use to me. I am going to sell the one I purchased and wait until someone makes the entire replacement piece as my wife's factory installed tailgate piece is damaged. If your looking for a nice cover for appearance this is sharp, however I was looking for appearance and to replace the entire plastic piece with the Dee Zee aluminum piece and it doesn't replace the factory plastic it mounts on top of the factory piece."

"This product was a breaze to install and looks very good on my '03 Dodge Ram. I just bought the truck and the top of the tailgate had some dings and this cap covered it up and looks great against the silver body and line x bedliner."

"You sent shiny aluminum. I ordered black. But to avoid hassle and mailings etc. I accepted the shiny and installed it anyway. Also, I thot I read that cap to be installed with double stick tape. There was no tape. Only 4 screws and only 2 holes in the cap. Leave it alone and I have accepted it and forgot about it."
