Appearance and fit excellent picture did not show what I received. I expected it to roll down the back edge of the tailgate towards the bumper but it stops short. Not unhappy just wish it would have bent down to show it off.

I thought hey this looks good. That's where it stopped. Placing it on the vehicle is simple. I painted mine black as the rest of the plastic is black. Needless to say, I use my truck, this cap dings easily. I guess I should have such high expectations.

Didn't look like the photo after installation. The rear surface never covered as I thought it would based on the picture. Was short coming down over the exterior of the tailgate.

The install itself was fairly easy; however, my truck was used as a work vehicle before I purchased and they treated it poorly. One of the things missing was a tailgate cap. There was two bolts welded from the inside on the top of my tailgate on my 2008 tundra. I'm not sure if it was done while as a work truck or if it came that way from the factory. I ended up having to grind them down in order for the cap to sit flush

Well, first let me say that I originally had the impression that this cap would virtually cover the entire OEM cap. It doesn't. I was looking forward to having the black OEM cap disappear from sight. Regardless, it does look great on the vehicle. It makes for an eye catcher as the tailgate is down. I did add plenty of additional tape to hold down the piece though, cause I didn't give credit to the single piece of tape that was meant to hold down the cap. Luckily, I always have the appropriate tape on me for such an event. The cap does come with 2 holes predrilled on each end to screw into the tailgate. I thought I would need more, although, after adding the tape, it became evident I did NOT need to drill additional holes. While at first, I was disappointed in the product upon receipt, I took some time to evaluate it and made it work,....and it looks great! Thank you.
