Putco Bed Caps & Bed Rails Reviews

This is a great addition to the truck. With 1000 pounds of strength the rails allow versatility in hauling and strapping in a load. The directions called for torquing down the four bolts to 65 ft/lbs. I bought a wrench and set of allen wrench sockets to do the job, tried to be oh, so careful, and managed to strip one of the bolts. I wrote to Putco and they said I had a set of old directions and they don't advise people to use a torque wrench any more. Well duh!

Purchased and put these rails on my 2008 Nissan Titan and they look great. A great add on for the cost. I purchased these bed rails and received them in less than a week. Also the best price out of seven other locations. This is my second order from AutoAnything.com and i'm once again very pleased with the service, price and quick delivery. Installation was tricky because of factory bed rail; had to cut rubber expanders 1/2" to get bolts started and reutilized bed rail anchor covers, by drilling a bolt hole. this allowed the black gasket w/the casting to sit flush on the bed rail. Otherwise, too easy; longer mounting bolts should be considered.For a more custom fit, a solid plastic/rubber stake pocket spacer mounting plate designed to fit into the stake pocket level with the top of the factory bedrail, so the black gasket and casting sits flush.

I recently purchased these for a Ford F-350 that I am customizing. The truck is two toned red and black and the stock black bed caps just made the bed look dull! The Putco Skins made a dramatic difference in appearance!!!!! They coordinate well with the AVS Chrome ventvisors and Putco Door Handles that I purchased as well!

We purchased these bed rails for our son who is in the Air Force and currently serving in South Korea. After I installed them I took a few photos and e-mailed them to him so he look at them, I told him they were an early Christmas present (he has a 30 day leave at Christmas).Needless to say he loved them and can't wait to get home to see them in person.I like them so much, I think I will buy a set for my truck as well.
