The rack is easy to assemble and super solid once installed. The bikes do move while your driving and the locking bike clamps give you a little more piece of mind while your going down the road. The rack also came with the anti rattle/ locking hitch pin which works great.

I purchased this as a replacement for my Thule rack. The Thule I had would not work with my full-suspension mountain bike, so I got this style of carrier. The Swagman is well built, solid, and keeps my bike sturdy, especially when on rough roads. The width of the tire rests fit my fairly wide tires, though I'm not sure you'd get a "fat" bike on this. I also ended up purchasing the matching locking hitch pin to secure the rack against theft and love it as well.
