"Easy install and looks great on the truck. The only issue is I wish Thule had more options for height ride and raising the bars proved to be just a touch of a problem(not much but could be easier).I would recommend this for anyone that is looking to haul kayak or work material.I would not recommend anyone using this to haul their bikes(in the lowest position of course)they sit up way to high."

"I my opinion, the Thule Xsporter is truly the best truck rack for the money! In addition to hauling my kayak, canoe, and mountain bike, the Xsporter is just as capable of handling a 24' extension ladder, 6', 8', 10' & 12' step ladders as well as lumber and plywood. The telescoping system retracts to below the cab level and offers no wind resistance during non use. Everywhere I go, everyone comments on the good looks, and exceptional versatility. Thule really has hit the mark with this design! I would recommend this product to everyone!"

"Thule finally made an adapter for the Xsporter that works with the Tacoma's cargo system. It is great looking, solid and gets allot of gear out of the bed. Went together easily. Have two sets of ski racks mounted for fshing rods with room for a kayak. Would advise checking the mounting bolts in the bedrails frequently after install and use of a thread lock agent to keep the hardware tight. Only real complaint is that the front mounts cannot be lowered into the second locking position on the short bed due to the location of the fender wells. Have to look to see whether or not the the sysytem can be reversed to allow the forward rack to be dropped to the low/ stowed postion."

What a Sweet Rack!

"I have had several different Thule and Yakima roof racks in the past. I haul around a variety of kayaks from whitewater to sea. When I saw a picture of this Thule bed rack, I liked what it looked like. This rack is one of the nicest racks that I have owned to date. I love the new shape of the aerodynamically shaped load bars. They totally eliminate the noisey wind noise associated with my older rectangular shaped bars. They can be raised up above the roof line for longer loads like my sea yaks and dropped down below the roof line for shorter loads. They look very well constructed and are rated for around 700 pounds. This rack worked great in my 07' Nissan Frontier, really gives the truck a sporty beefy look. I think that Thule has really hit a Grand Slam with this design. Mike"

Xsporter Rocks

"Installation was straightforward and easy. Less than two hours to install at a leisurely pace. Carries 2 canoes or 1 canoe and 1 kayak easily. I recommend getting the Thule straps as well they make for easy and secure tie down of whatever you are transporting. Thule recommended the xsporter 421 for my Silverado 1500HD but I went with the 422 for the extra roof clearance and I'm glad I did. For a lot of things the 421 would be the better choice but more clearance is needed when transporting canoes. Auto Anything had the best deal I could find on this rack and the rack arrived much faster than I thought it might. Free shipping on this item was a big selling point but they had a better base price than any other sites that charged for shipping. I'd definitely buy this rack again."

"Although this sytem is way strong, The adjustable height of the crossbars is not easy on the Tacoma. I have to disassemble the bars to move the system vertically."
