Description

Experienced riders have long known that the best way to transport their bicycles is on roof racks. They work with any bike frame, and don’t scratch the paint. The only issue with roof racks, though, is that they’re backbreaking to use unless you’re a giant. But, those problems are history, thanks to Thule’s ingenious T2 Hitch Bike Carrier. By bringing the roof-mount style carrier down to your hitch, you can load up safely and quickly without the strain.

Never hoist your 2-wheeler over your head again! With a Thule T2 Hitch Bike Carrier mounted in your 1 1/4" or 2” receiver, you can load up in minutes without breaking a sweat. Its vice-grip cradles hold onto your wheels while the adjustable straps keep your ride stable and secure. When you’re not towing your prized bikes, it folds up and out of the way.

The standard Thule T2 Hitch Bike Carrier holds up to 2 cycles at a time. If you need room for 4, get the optional Add-On carrier. And, it’s equipped to use Thule Lock Cylinders (sold separately) to stop thieves. Lifetime Warranty.

"Easy to install and easy to get bikes on and off. Front wheel tray hit rear of car when in folded up position, so I had to trim the plastic down a bit. The rack is sturdy and high quality, though bikes do bounce up and down a bit when going over bumps."

"The best bike carrier I've ever owned. Drove over 600 miles with 2 bikes and didn't have anything requiring adjustment or tightning the whole drive, that's impressive. Recommend buying the two locks for each adjustment arm as well. I didn't and used a chain instead which was a real pain. Great product!"

T2 hitch is awesome!!

"I love the T2 hitch! I bought the lock for the hitch and the locks for each bike. You can say like others that the locks should have came with it, but the quality of what I buy matters most, not if the locks come with it and compromise the quality. I don't care to spend more money because I want the best quality unit, period!!! There is not a lot of options out there for this style hitch offered by other companies!!!! The T2 hitch is the top quality! I would suggest to anyone who is undecided to go onto youtube and type in compare T2 to Yakima's rack(can't remember name now, but with your research you probably know already or just look up theirs), but there is one similar to Thule's T2 model. There is a guy on youtube who shows 3 different company's units(Thule, Yakima, Saris) and sets each up with bikes on them. The Saris unit I was not impressed with because it looks to simple and appears cheaply constructed which by its appearance I question its protection for my bike, but it would be a "cheap" alternative for people who like to be "cheap", I guess. It's not a "bargain" though I feel for "bargain" shoppers. Just buy the T2 if you are ready to buy and u will not regret this decision....!!! If you don't know yet and still not convinced go look on youtube for videos on these 3 hitches and compare. You will agree with me and what I have to say!! The unit is not really heavy I thought< as some others say, and can have it on my car with a bike in prob 2.5 minutes, no problem with 2 bikes secure...! Good luck!!"

Works Great... could have been excellent

"The Pro: Easy to install and mount the bike. Stable, no rattling/rocking. Lock option for the arms is a plus. Adjustable distance between bike mount, 1 or 2 bike option is nice. Fold forward when not in use. Folds down to provide access to hatch back door opening clearance. The Con: The locking device for the hitch is optional instead of included like Yakima. There isn't an easy option to use generic cable lock. Rack extends quite far from vehicle if your hitch already sticks out somewhat."

Thule T2 Bike Rack

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful.

"The T2 Rack is easy to assemble and easy to load bikes onto. I like the fold-down and fold-up features. The weight of the empty rack is acceptable, but the rack is a bit awkward to carry, even when in the upright position. It would be much more convenient if Thule would incorporate security into the rack rather than making consumers purchase the cylinder locks and the hitch lock separately. Overall, I would recommend the T2 rack to others."

"The Thule T2 Hitch Bike Carrier is great! Looked all over the internet and found the best deal with Autoanything.com. On top of that, shipping was free which saved me a lot of money as the package was fairly large. Instructions were easy to follow and the Thule T2 was put together in no more than 10 minutes! Great product, secure, strong, and should last for years!"
