"Great bike rack! Assembly instructions were not updated to show the threaded attachment bolt or the screws to prevent the rails from sliding off in the event that the main hold downs became loose without a bike on, but guys dont't read instructions anyway! I'm sure they will be updated soon! This is minor though. I really like the Rack!"

"Easy installation. Keeps bikes from getting tangled and from putting stress on cables and parts. Can load and unload bikes in a minute. Two minor problems. Powder coat scrathes easily so have some touch up paint to keep from rusting. Spring adjustments on upper body locking arms stick and seem rather cheap. I have some question about the quality and durability of this unit, but only time will tell. Based on the price, I would recommend this item."

"My dad did exhaustive research to find a bike rack that would accomodate a full sized women's bike as well as girls' bike. The Swagman XC2 is the perfect solution! We're very satisfied!"

"What I like best about it is that it secures the WHOLE bike. Took less than a minute to adjust the tire loops to the correct size. I own a Ford Sport Trac, and the fold down feature allows full access to drop the tailgate. This is not only great for cross country transport as the name says, but for the short trips as well. Congrats to Swagman on this product."

"My Yakima 2 bike hitch rack is heavy and it's no fun to load or unload the bikes from it. The Swagman XC 2 was easy to assemble, easy to adjust, and works almost effortlessly. It does wobble some and I've ordered an anti-wobble device for it. Hope that helps. The jury is out on how the ratchet system will hold up over time...the springs in the releases could be a weak link. I think I've made a great buy."

"Needed a bike carrier that was easy to use and store able. The Swagman XC 2 provides both. There is no need for adapters for ladies bikes. After use it folds up and stores easily ."

"I had a bike on the back of my car in less than 15 minutes after I opened the box. It rides very secure with little to no movement. I'm sure I will enjoy using this rack for years."

"I purchased the 1.25" model to attach to a 2001 Impala, and am very happy with it. Setup was simple an quick, and bikes are held securely. Nice quality and good design. My only complaints I have are minimal, but something you might want to consider before you buy. Since the rack does extend out behind the vehicle, it has the tendency to drag even in small dips if you mount it to a car hitch. My hitch lies underneath and is not flush with the back of my rear bumper, which makes the inside bike very close the car, so I have to use strategic pedal positioning so the bike doesn't scratch my bumper. SUV's probably won't have these issues. The paint also scratches off easily when sliding the ratcheting adjusters up and down and I had to glue the red rubber trigger covers on as both were falling off. All of these complaints are nit-picky though. This is a great rack and overall, i'm happy with my decision, and saved $150 by not buying a Saris or Yakima, etc."
