"The bike rack is so convenient! I have a Trailblazer and now I can pack more on camping trips with the rack. The only thing I'd change would be the need to carry tools in my truck to be able to fold the rack down when not in use. I'm on the hunt for another cotter-pin lock like the one on the lower portion of the bike rack. Other than that I am thrilled with the product. Also, it got to my door in 2 days!"

"I always like the Thule products. I was disappointed to see that you need a wrench to hook it up, it should be a trailer hitch pin. The upper part needs a wrench to fold, should be a pin. Its hard to hold the bikes on, the rubber holders are tough. You need to really tie the bike up to hold it on."

Thule bike rack

"I recently purchased a Thule bike rack (for 4 bikes) for my Toyota Highlander, and so far have been happy with it. It seems much more stable than my previous tie-down trunk version (on a different car). One improvement I would like to see, though, is for the bike support bars themselves to be hinged like the lower bar, enabling them to be dropped more easily when not in use. Currently, you must unbolt and re-bolt them each time."

"Easy to put together but bikes must be removed to "tilt" the carrier for access to tailgate area and must have tools with you to remove or adjust the unit after bikes are removed. But generally happy with unit..."

"I have never had a bike rack for any type of vehicle before but I received my 4-bike rack from AutoAnything within 2 or 3 days. It was easy to assemble and works great so far, especially with the pin that pulls out to let you tilt the rack down."

"To be honest this review is a bit premature since I just received the hitch I need to put it on my Prius yesterday and haven't had a chance to install it yet. That said, the Thule rack seems very well built and straightforward in design. The service from AutoAnything was excellent!"

"We were so happy with our purchase of the Thule Parkway 4-Bike Rack! Our old bike rack was one that just straped on the back end of the vehicle. It would bounce all over the place and the staps would loosen up. I had to strain my neck, checking to make sure the bikes weren't coming loose. With the Thule bike rack, I no longer have to strain my neck or worry that the bikes may fall off. It was really easy, and affordable, purchasing through AutoAnything also. Thanks!"

"We have a 2005 forester w/1 1/4" hitch. Assembly is simple, tools list is explicit. We purchased the Snug Tite Lock to lock rack to hitch and a frame adapter for a folding bike. The frame adapter was not totally necessary, but makes loading simpler and faster. We have only used it twice, but it seems to work very well. I would be interested to know what the advantages are of Thule's more expensive models. My only real annoyance is that to fold the rack down flush with the upright bar, you need wrenches."

Easy to install and remove

"A quick run down to the park or the long haul this hitch mounted bike rack is perfect. Takes maybe 10 minutes the first time to attach. Then once you have the correct wrenches stored in the trunk you are maybe 5 minutes from loading the bikes which will take only a few minutes. Quiet, no rattling. I have a Subaru wagon - with the hitch mounted rack I still have room for a kayak and additional storage on the roof. Who needs a big waste of metal (SUV's) when with great accessories like this Thule rack you can haul everything you need in minutes and still get 30 mpg."
