"Works well, but the bars that hold the bikes are just a little too far apart, making it difficult to mount some bikes. With a little creative thinking, it can work well. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not have to remove the front tires when the outside spare was off center."

"I got this product in less than a week and it was everything that I could ask for for the price. It holds very tightly to my spare tire and was extremely easy and fast to set up. I have a 2008 jeep wrangler unlimited and it looks great on the back. I use a standard bungee cord to keep the bike held tight against the rack. It doesnt really need it, but some roads I drive on are very bumpy and I didnt want to take any chances. I didnt even have to take off my tire cover. I would definitely reccomend this to someone who doesnt want to spend over a hundred dollars for a similiar rack. I am very pleased."

"I had this rack for about 3 hours before I got rearended on my way to the beach for a week. I can tell you it was very easy to install and looked pretty good on the back of my Jeep. The fact that it holds the bikes up higher off the road kept my bikes from being completely destroyed in the accident. Can't day the same for the back of my Jeep. But, once it gets out of the shop, I'll be getting me another one of these racks. Hopefully, I'll get to use it a lot longer."

"Easy to setup and install. Rack seems very sturdy and holds bikes securely. I like that it keeps the bikes higher off the ground than other tire mount racks I have tried. Great for those times when we are off the beaten path and need the clearance."

"over all the bike rack is good,[however]it will not hookup to our 1999 toyota rav4 at the bottom of the door as the instructions say. i have to hook the straps at the bottom of the body and i do not trust hauling anything the way it has to be hooked up. also ,that bike rack is not made to haul afemale bikes, which means, i must jack my wifes bike around to get it to fit. thats why i wont use your bike rack until there is a better way to secure it. may i suggest finding a 1999 toyota rav4 and you will clearly see that the bottom section of the door has a plastic piece covering the bottom edge of the door.ok your move."

"This bike rack is quick and easy to install and remove. It is light to carry and takes little space to store. Once loaded though, the bikes were crowded on the rack and we had to be extra careful to avoid scratches (on the bikes - not the car). A big plus is that we are able to open the back door of our Jeep with the rack installed and the bikes loaded. The rack is less sturdy than others we have seen - but is also a lot cheaper - overall, good value for the money."

Good rack for a, '02 CR-V

"We just purchased the Allen Bike Racks Delux 3-Bike Spare tire rack from AutoAnything. Pros: The rack was very easy to set up and mount. It felt flimsy at first but that went away when everything was in place. It sits very firmly on the spare tire making you feel confident that it wont fall of together with your bikes. Because it sits on the spare tire, it keeps bikes away from the car paint. It holds the bikes nicely in place. Cons: I bit difficult to hang several bikes without them banging into each other (looks like that's a problem for all racks of this kind)."
