"Bike rack overall is very good. I don't care for the hitch pin as it requires a 3/4" wrench to install. A quick pin idea would be better. I have it on an H3. Rack clears the tire no problem, but the door can not open. Rack should have been designed to fold down farther."

"I installed this rack on my 2004 Jeep Liberty. It stuck WAY out off the back of the car. I was able to drill new 1/2" holes almost 5 inches further back from the stock hitch pin hole location and have the rack located perfectly for use without sticking too far off the back of the car. This unit is clearly designed to accommodate a very large spare tire on the back of your vehicle!
I contacted Allen racks directly and they assured me that as long as I drilled the new holes properly (half-inch diameter and made sure they were centered properly) that the lifetime warranty would still be valid.
The rack seems to be a very rugged solid unit constructed of good materials.
One further note about dealing with AutoAnything: AutoAnything does not stock any of the Allen equipment. Allen racks drop ships for them directly whenever an order is placed for one of their products. In my particular case Allen screwed up and shipped an incorrect item for one of the items that I ordered. In trying to get the problem resolved, AutoAnything had to follow up with Allen racks several times to get them to fix the problem.
While I am very unimpressed with Allen racks as a company, AutoAnything really came through and was finally able to get them to ship me the right parts. Definite thumbs-up!"

AMPLE (too much) room for the spare!

"This was the only hitch-mount bike carrier we found that specifies working with a rear spare tire. We received the Allen rack pretty quickly (on the earliest day of the estimated range). When we tried it out, we found that the rear spare accommodation was far beyond what we needed (at least a foot!). We contacted Allen Racks and they advised we could safely add a hole for the no-wobble bolt to bring the position of the rack nearer and provide greater stability through the hitch. Overall, we're very happy with the rack."

"The only thing I can say is.....fits perfectly, solid and professional. If you have a truck with rear spare don't even think twice. This rack does the job."
