I was looking for a bike carrier that hooked on (since I don't have a hitch). However, my bikes don't have conventional bars to hang on all the other non hitch racks I was happy to find the thule platform. It works well for my bike and is easy to throw them on and go. I don't have to mess with removing the front tire. If this rack is properly attached it is rock solid. Overall very happy with my purchase. Hopefully it will hold up well.

I got into cycling about a year ago. My wife just started. I normally ride to and from a safer riding area. It's too far for my wife. No problem we'll drive then ride. The rack I had was damaging the expensive bikes and roof racks were way too expensive because we don't have side rails on the cars. This was the perfect solution. It also fits both our cars.

I put the Thule bike rack on our Lexus RX 400 H, loaded up our two bikes and drove from Dallas Texas to Breckenridge Colorado. I watched your great instructional videos, so installation was very straightforward . The fit was, as promised, very snug. When I shook the rack the entire car. The bike rack's design is such that it handles different bike styles (I.e., women's bikes) with ease. And great peace of mind being able to lock the cable ratchets as well as the clasping devices. We spent a week on all kinds of mountain roads and very bumpy gravel roads with no issues whatsoever . And when the bikes are in use or stored in the room, the rack folds into a nice compact package. Have already recommended the system to some good friends,

Very pleased with this product. I would highly recommend it for anyone that can't put a receiver hitch on their vehicle. It is very easy to put on my Ford Edge. The instructions are not great and could be improved.

We really like our Platform Trunk Bike Rack. It fits great on out Honda Accord. The only complaint we have is when we received it, the instructions we recieved were for another Thule bike rack, so we went online, found the correct instructions, printed them and had the rack on the truck in 5 minutes or less! I'm really glad we made this purchase and would recommend it to others. One other thing to note is the rack is easier to put on with two people.

I was excited to try this rack. I put it on my car and loaded my bikes. It was pretty easy to install, but was a bit hard to handle because of the weight. The bikes were a snap to put on, and I am not very strong. It held everything in place very well. If your bike has shocks, they need to be locked out because the bike bounces up and down if you don't. I was pleased with everything up to this point. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that the locks on this rack are USELESS! My bike was stolen right off of the rack the second time I used it. I hadn't had it a week. I went into a store for only 20 minutes in broad daylight. When I came out my bike was gone. It is as easy for a thief to take your bike off of this rack as it is to put on. I would not recommend this rack if it is security you want. That is why I only give it a fair rating. I now have a rack and no bike.

I bought this rack in the hope that it would work on my high racer recumbent bike. Stick-type recumbents like mine are notoriously difficult to rack and not having a receiver hitch on my car, my racking options were limited. I ran across the Thule Raceway Platform while net surfing one day and was intrigued by the unique design. It appeared to be just what I needed, so I decided to give it a try. It turned out to exceed my expectations. The rack is beefy; if not a little heavy. The new cable type mounting system is convenient, easy to install and quite secure. The rack fits on both my small hatch back and my wife's mini-van perfectly due to Thule's adjustment system. Most importantly my bent fits perfectly. I would highly recommend this rack.
