Few quick comments: PROS: very easy to install, feels very stable, you can carry 5 bikes, good price CONS: fitting 5 bikes is a little bit tricky and will require some practice. Other than this, we are really happy with the rack. We will recommend it to a friend.

The Apex 4 bike rack is awesome! It locks to the car and locks the bikes down and is very sturdy! I use it on my 2012 Camaro, just be aware that you can only use 2 bikes on the camaro because of the class 1 weight rating on the hitch (3 bikes tend to bounce alot)

cannot even compare it to any of the discount store style carriers, very nice, secure, no slop in any joint. if you have 3 or even 4 bikes to haul then get the apex 5, plenty of room, bikes will not beat each other.

I've had the rack for 2 weeks. Used it immediately for transporting 4 bikes on a 3-hour trip. It was very easy to put together, and very intuitive on installing on the vehicle. Easy to take on and off the vehicle as well. The cradles hold the bikes very well, and the rubber straps are as easy to use. There seems to be plenty of space for the bikes. The biggest challenge is to make different bicycle types fit on the rack but that is to be expected and not a function of the rack itself.

Really have to squeeze to get 5 bikes on. Difficult to put a small kids bike on especially- need lots of imagination! However, keeps bikes safe and really like the built in locking cable and hitch lock.

The Apex rack is easy to assemble, taking just a few minutes to install the sway cradles (seemed a bit too flexible, but work great), straps and locks. Very simple and quick to install on into the trailer hitch (tightening and locking the rack was simple and secure), and not too bulky or heavy to lift into place. Especially like the integrated bike lock in the carrier arm. Very happy with the carrier and would purchase again.
