Thule Parkway Bike Rack Part #957 Customer Reviews

Receiver tube drilled and tapped for a bolt in lieu of hitch pin, No quick release pin for upper arm to stow down when not in use. Very heavy. Well built, but not great design. Adult mountain Bike barely fit on cross bars. Had to drill receiver for quick release pin. Receiver fits loose in small hitch. Probably why they gave tapped hole for bolt in lieu of pin. Had to buy second quick release pin to pivot top arm. Okay overall, but not the best if you're expecting more convenient rack.

Bike rack assembled very easily. Easy to put in the trailer hitch (which I also bought from auto anything.) Doesn't block trunk access, and I can still see out of the backup cam. Happy with it so far!

Good value for the money. Only con is the bolt sizes needed to assemble and attach to hitch. They are three different sizes, requiring three sockets. One size fits all three would have been better.

I bought an aged truck to take on dirt roads with dog and my mountain bike. However, I did not want to throw my bike on top of the dog, so I looked for a sturdy hitch rack. This one is perfect! The only thing: the bolt to attach tit to the hitch should be secured with a pin rather than a locking washer.

The pin bolt that hold the rack to the receiver is threaded and you will need a 3/4 in. wrench to tighten unless you drill out the hole in the shaft that goes into the receiver. I decided not to do this as tightening the bolt lessens the sway in the rack. If you have to remove a bike rack often this may not be the one for you. Otherwise it is a good quality rack. i replced the upper pin with a threaed eye bolt rather than a clip pin for ease of removal.

I had to be very careful what I bought for a bike rack because all my bikes are mongoose dual suspension but this rack works perfectly for that! We put this behind my dad's 2010 Outback and it rides like a dream! I ordered 2 items from AutoAnything and they gave me the best price and free shipping! My 1st item arrived 1 day after ordering and my 2nd item came on day 2!!

Extremely easy to install. Carried four bikes on it without too much difficulty, but once the bikes were on, they didn't move at all. I could open my trunk (Toyota Corolla) without touching the bikes or bike rack, which is a huge plus. Should have gotten this years ago.
