This rack is fairly easy to mount, once you get used to having to open and close the trunk in the process with a heavy rack on top that hasn't been secured yet, a significant design flaw. Once the bottom cables are under the trunk lid, however, the top and bottom cables tighten easily with the turn of four knobs for a secure fit and stable transport. Once the bikes are loaded and secured, they just don't move.

I love love love this bike rack! So easy to install, feels secure on the car, and the bike is easy to mount. Could not be happier. It fits perfectly on my 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix!

An absolutely fabulous bike rack!:) I was in need of a carrier system that would accommodate my car size and have a locking system. The Thule Raceway serves those requirements and more! It is extremely easy to handle, convenient, takes 5 minutes to attach or remove. Nothing negative to say. I do have to open the trunk with a key, because the weight of the bike rack doesn't allow the latch to release. But that is no big deal.:)......what did we do before automatic latch release? :):)

I bought this rate specifically since it said it would fit a Lexus RX. It does not. The upper clips does not fit into the upper edge. I have used it on my wife's Subaru and it worked really well. But unfortunately that wasn't the target car. :(

So far i'm very happy with this rack! Its very sturdy and secure, i've taken it on the interstate once, and my bike was not bouncing around at all, I had no worries about my bike slipping off like i've had with much cheaper racks. Its expensive, but worth what you pay!

I love the fact that it only has 2 straps, not 6. The ratchet to tighten the straps is super. I'm surprised that more trunk bike racks aren't made with this feature!

I shopped a few weeks before settling on this rack since it was going on my brand new car. I wanted an easy on/ off rack that would have a good solid fit and leave no marks or evidence it had ever been on my car once taken off. This rack fits my needs perfectly. I have had this rack for 6 months and it was on my car everyday for at least 4 months of the 6. Traveling to and from work 80 miles each day with and without the bike this rack held up perfect. I highly recommend this bike rack.

This is a very well designed bike rack. I put it on my new BMW 328i and no problems.. My only complaint is that you must open the trunk to install the lower hooks. It is also a bit heavy.

Set up was very easy; really like the cables that tighten easily instead of straps that typically fly around while driving; the locks are beneficial; the rack and bike don't move, even going over railroad tracks; looks great too. Highly recommend.
