Having read all of the reviews, I had some concerns regarding the button used to lock the end clips. WRONG....NO PROBLEM....WORKS LIKE A CHARM....SECURE AND EASY TO USE.

This tube is a necessity if you take a ladies bike on a trailer hitch bike rack. With the slanted bar on a ladies bike, there's virtually no way the load a ladies bike level with a man's bike on the rack. The tube is easy to attach & it makes the rack transportation safer & easier.

Very difficult to open the locking end, since metal tab button needs to be pressed through a deep hole with a small diameter. Your thumb or finger is not strong enough to push deeply enough to release it while trying to slide the hook end forward. Also bar is very heavy and the two sliding tubes separate in the middle too easily when carrying, resulting in dropping half of the tube on the ground when others try to help. Also not sure it is safe without the extension end point lock out.

I bought this for my son's bike. It fit pretty well and does/works what it's supposed to do. The push pins are a bit hard to engage, but perhaps it's new and needs to work/wear in a bit. Fit & finish are good.

The adapter works really well to allow slant tubing bikes to hang straight on a bike rack. It's well padded on the ends to protect the bike. The only complaint I have is that the buttons that open and close the ends are difficult to depress fully. You need a screwdriver, key or other device to hold down the button flush to the surface. Have a little tool available and that should take care of the buttons.

Unt works fine and is well built. Push button lock release was very stiff at first but with use becomes easy to use. Cost is substanitally less than adapters from other manufacturers.

We purchased these bike adapters for my bike and our daughter's bike - and they work perfectly with our bike rack! The release "buttons" are a bit stiff now, but with time should be easier to use.

Like one other reviewer mentioned the buttons do not always push down that easy in the tube. Other than that it works just fine.

Purchased two adapters - For the money not a bad product...I did have alittle trouble pushing that button and at the same time turning the adapter to open. Felt clumsy...
