4 hour each way ride on the highway with no trouble. Held the bike firmly in place. Worked with our rack just fine, which has an oval shape to it. Happy to find a more affordable roof rack part!

Holds the bike nicely. Not too difficult to put onto the vehicle. I haven't had any wind noise or anything like that. Even though it doesn't lock, it would be easy to put a cable through one of the existing holes and lock onto the vehicle cross bar.

I bought two of these for a bike trip in Gettysburg. The trip was close to 5 hours one way. I have a trek x-caliber 8. It is a large bike with 29" wheels and the track held the wide tires well. The back strap is pretty sturdy as well. The only complaint I have is where the two pieces connect with the bolts. It doesn't sit very flush where they meet. Small potatoes I know. But it's really the only flaw I can see. I would buy these again, without a doubt.

Used for HT mtn bike on a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek. Installation was easy. Construction seems pretty solid so far. Holds the bike tight on fast, curvy mountain roads. The only drawback I found was the knobs that hold the u-bolts to the crossbars could back off under enough vibration. I added lock nuts on top of the knobs so small problem solved. It never happened, I just saw it as a possible issue and headed it off so it might not even be an issue.

Most cost effective solution for roof mounting that I could find. Once assembled, the bikes where sturdy and did not move at all. Just completed a ~1000 mi road trip with no problems. Requires ~ 8" of space for the front mount plate and should be checked for tightness every time a bike is mounted.

I decided to read the instructions (what a mistake) I was better off looking at the pieces and putting it together. Other than that the product is good, I didn't think it was going to fit my 29er but it did just fine. Material is decent but for less than $50 you can't expect too much. Mounting and dismounting is simple and it's easy to carry

Compared to other racks Ive looked into the materials used is lower in quality but you can not beat the price and its universal mounting system. Assembly was fast and easy and there are many mounting holes for different adjustments , however, some tools are required. Bike mounting was also just as easy. The only thing i would have preferred is a locking system because with the mounting knobs it can easily be taken off the roof but again for the price its well worth it.
