I bought this rack for a 2011 Hyundai Genesis coupe. Didn't realize this rack was 'not recommended' for the car. After trying to put it on my car anyway I can see why. The bottom straps slip from the bottom of the trunk lid to the sides. I was able to remedy the problem by cutting up an old yoga mat and putting the hooks onto that to give them some grip. Works beautifully! I use a 6 so that most of the weight is on the metal trunk lid instead of the plastic bumper. It's solid and did not damage my car at all. Big plus the metal hooks are coated with a plastic to make them less likely to scratch. I still keep a yoga mat piece under them though.

Pros: The rack only touches the tires. The bikes sit very close together, reducing the footprint of the rack. Easy fold up. Easy hinge release for hatch/gate access. Threaded hitch pin keeps the rack from swaying. Built in lock with cable. Cons: The handlebars are angled the wrong way. More than 2 bikes requires loading from the rear first. The tire trays are farther out than needed which causes the seats to hang out wide of the car.
