Softride Access Dura 4-Bike Rack Reviews

Not as good as the older model but still the best rack ever!

Still a great rack and bullet proof. My old Softride rack survived 2 rear end accidents! The new rack features anti-sway braces for the bikes, a cool feature but 1 more step to anchor bikes to the rack. The arms are closer together to accommodate different frames, requiring the anti-sway braces. This rack is taller which, and keeps the bikes from bottoming out on large dips. More plastic than the old one, but everything is sturdy! A little bouncy, fits 4 bikes with a little finesse.

Softride Access Element Bike Rack Reviews

Professional grade

I have this attached to the back of my Jeep Wrangler which has a large spare tire on the back... works great. They are right about the quiet ride. The rack is attached firmly to the hitch(screwed in tightly) otherwise it would be giggling back and forth and noisy on every bump. It would be "easier" with a cotter pin type connector, but this way bette for noise reduction. It only take a minute to screw it in. i just keep the wrench in the car. We don't worry about the bikes this way.

Softride Dura Hydraulic Assist Hitch Bike Rack Reviews

Great looking rack, hydraulic not the most incredible..

Reviewed By Dominique B (Santa Barbara, CA) Reviewed for a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee —1/3/2012 11:11 AM

We received this hitch rack in great shipping time from AutoAnything. It looks great and I really like the gray/silver color next to our Jeep Grand Cherokee. Putting it together wasn't difficult but does take some time. The straps that hold the bike to the rack are EXTREMELY tight, which is great for keeping bikes in place I suppose but a bit of a challenge when putting on/taking off. Also, I was expecting that by paying for the hydraulic assist that it would be super easy to push bikes up. I'm a pretty strong female, lift weights a ton and have used other hitch racks like this and I don't think that the assist helps at all. Kind of disappointed we paid extra for that feature...
