Great buy for the money

Reviewed By Michael K (Bailey, CO) Reviewed for a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek —3/29/2015 10:17 AM

Used for HT mtn bike on a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek. Installation was easy. Construction seems pretty solid so far. Holds the bike tight on fast, curvy mountain roads. The only drawback I found was the knobs that hold the u-bolts to the crossbars could back off under enough vibration. I added lock nuts on top of the knobs so small problem solved. It never happened, I just saw it as a possible issue and headed it off so it might not even be an issue.

swagman XTC bike rack

Reviewed By Melvin S (ENGLEWOOD, FL) Reviewed for a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan —3/3/2015 4:06 AM

I recently purchased the Swagman XTc bike rack. I find it so easy to put on and off my hitch, and love how quickly I can load the bikes on and secure them. My only concern is where it fits in my 2" hitch is quite loose, and rocks some, I may try a shim to fix this, but am loving the bike rack.

Great Bike Rack

Reviewed By Kevin C (Oakley, CA) Reviewed for a 2015 Ford Escape —2/22/2015 8:06 AM

The bike rack is solid and sturdy. Directions warn against using rack on rough trails, and I can see why. When you come up on a speed bump take your speed down a notch or two, otw the bikes enter that brief weightless period like riding the back of a school bus and land a bit rough. The rack tilt away from the clam door of the Escape makes easy access without removing bikes. It also assist loading inside bike with vertical support up, or put support down load inside bike then swing it up.
