Right what I expected. One thing to look out for, you will need at least 2.5 inches of clearance to install on your receiver.

I retired as a school maitenance man. I've assembled hundreds of put-together peices of furniture and other fixtures. I am also a 46 year cycling veteran. I have rarely assembled a product with such losey instructions. After misassebling this rack a couple times, I threw away the confusing paper and just figured it out myself. Foutunetly, the guy that wrote the assembly instructions wasn't the same one that designed this tandem rack. It is a nice unit that securely and safely supports my tandem.

I was able to assemble and install this rack in about an hour. Very straightforward assembly. Easy to load and unload bikes. Easy to install and remove the rack from my vehicle. Folds into a tight configuration that makes it pretty easy to store.
