Better than Bike rack

Reviewed By Chuck M (San Diego, CA) Reviewed for a 2012 Nissan Frontier —1/4/2012 11:40 PM

It looks great and works like it is supposed to. Easy to install. We leave ours on all the time. Wish there was one strap that locked it to the tailgate as a theft deterrent. I had the top of the line Thule Platform hitch bike rack on the jeep that our Frontier replaced. We loved it, and would still be using it if we didn't have a truck bed. This is much better than any bike rack We put the bikes in, and ratchet them down in a couple of minutes. They are so secure and don't move at all whether hitting bumps of any kind. We bought the large for my 59" tailgate. I have to fold the inside under at the edges to make sure it doesn't get caught in the tailgate when I shut it. If you open and close yours all the time you might want to tuck it under permanently, or go with the smaller cover. They are well made and the cover is made of a sturdy vinyl. Much better than just putting a rubber Matt over the tailgate. I received great customer service from auto-anything, and it arrived in about three days.

Nice rack

Reviewed By Kernell R (BEL AIR, MD) Reviewed for a 2009 Toyota Venza —7/26/2015 10:40 AM

I bought this rack to haul my family's mountain bikes. It installed quickly and worked flawlessly. I especially like that the arms supporting the bikes stay level regardless of whether the rack is fully up or dropped down to load my car's trunk. This feature also makes the rack great for working on the bikes when not transporting them. It cost a bit more than some more basic racks, but it is definitely worth it.

Solid Bike Rack

Reviewed By Chen S (SUMTER, SC) Reviewed for a 2015 Acura MDX —6/15/2015 8:59 PM

Softride Access Dura 4-Bike Rack is a well made solid piece of equipment. Easy to operate and easy to install. However the draw back of being so solid is weight. The bike rack is heavy. The weight makes it a bit of a chore to remove, haul out of the way and haul back reinstall for the occasions where rack needs to be removed.
