Overall, the assembly is very simple, but the instructions are somewhat confusing. It would almost be easier to show an exploded view diagram of the bike rack in final form and assemble from that view. However, the rack is very solid, and loads exceptionally easy, including women's bikes with the curved top rails. A huge improvement over the type of rack that uses the top rail for the attach point. I would highly recommend this rack to anyone looking for a good bike rack that needs to load women's bikes as well.
Attaching the Draw-Tite hitch to my HHR was definitely not an easy task. The rear exhaust and muffler must be moved to provide access, and holes must be drilled. I left this part to a local shop to do the installation. Overall, I am very pleased with the hitch though, as it is mostly hidden from view.
