Yakima Viper Bike Rack Reviews

Easy to install and sturdy

Reviewed By Bradford K (Ann Arbor, MI) Reviewed for a 2008 Subaru Impreza —1/4/2017 12:03 PM

I was able to unpack and install the Viper bike rack in a short amount of time - it's simple to use and feels incredibly sturdy. Putting it on my roof rack was simple and adding my bike was no problem whatsoever. It came at a good price and looks nice. I like that there aren't pieces you need to screw in (everything tightens with clasps) so you can take it off and on without worrying about damaging or losing any screws or washers.

Works fine w/ 3 qualifications

Reviewed By Larry G (Payson, AZ) Reviewed for a 2017 Chevy Colorado —3/22/2017 9:58 PM

Screws to passenger side clamp that accepts the rack mount- slightly too long & prevent snug rack mount fit to clamp. Bought 2 slightly shorter screws for clamp & rack mount fits nicely now. Instructions point out friction issues betw/ the rack & slick bed liner inserts. My liner is inside the bed & below the bed edges where rack actually fits. So OK as the edge coverings are not slick. I'm not sure that adding more than two mounts & bikes is a good idea. It will work for me - 4/5 stars.

Bicycle hitch mount for FJ cruiser

Reviewed By Jackie G (Tampa, FL) Reviewed for a 2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser —3/14/2017 6:35 AM

Bike rack is easy to install, slightly heavy and fits prefect on a Toyota FJ cruiser with spare tire on back. Bike rack is easy to put bikes on and take off. The bikes sits nicely and dont touch or bang into each other while traveling.
