Saris Axis Steel Hitch Mount Bike Rack Reviews

Looks good so far - 3 bike model

Reviewed By Don B (OAK RIDGE, TN) Reviewed for a 2008 Toyota Highlander —5/15/2014 6:32 AM

I picked this one based on a suggestion from autoeverything. So far I think it is a good combination of features for the price. Capacity is 35lbs/bike. Max speed 65 mph. The carrier is very easy to "assemble" and install on a hitch. The bars that hold the bike only lock into one position (as shown in the photo), they are not adjustable and are plastic - keep your receipt for the lifetime warranty. Get a cable lock to secure the carrier to the hitch to prevent theft. Tilt feature is fine.

Tail-Gator Truck Tailgate Bike Rack Reviews

Great addition- keeps trailer hitch position open for other uses

Reviewed By D. Michael H (ATLANTA, GA) Reviewed for a 2012 Toyota Tacoma —5/21/2013 4:10 AM

The Tail-Gator is very easy to use and works great. Even the guys at the bike shop liked it and had nothing comparable to sell me other than hitch type racks so I went with it. I intend to add a hitch to my 2012 Tacoma so this allows me to bring bikes on the Tail-Gator and add a trailer to pull a camper, jet ski or motorcycle trailer as well in the future. Folds up easy and stores in the truck bed under my cover. The Rep was really nice to work with. I will be calling again soon. Hope that helps.
