Swagman Upright Roof Bike Rack Reviews

Great product at a great price

I was a little skeptical when I first looked at this rack. But after reading the reviews, I went with it. I'm glad I did! It was half the price of the better brand racks and worked great! We just got back from a trip up to Maine. We drove from Pittsburgh to Bar Harbor with our bikes in our brand new racks and didn't have any issues at all. The bikes seemed sturdy and secure. In fact, my husband had a little trouble getting the bike out of the rack at first. Glad I went with these over the Thule brand (we have a Thule roof rack). You won't be sorry with this purchase and you'll save some money!

Swagman XC 2 Bike Platform Hitch Bike Rack Reviews

great rack

Reviewed By Adam K (BIRMINGHAM, AL) Reviewed for a 2011 Ford Mustang —5/19/2016 7:55 AM

be sure to use the included bolt instead of a standard hitch pin. if you use the bolt (i added a lock washer) the rack feels like a part of the car chassis with no slippage. i mounted mine on a 2011 mustang gt. love it! i plan to extend the vertical arm and use the rack to carry a kayak as well. you can use a small padlock to secure the bike retaining arms to keep the bike safe. you'd need two additional locks as well to lock the hitch pin and the rack where it meets the hitch extension arm.
