Thule Vertex Swing Away Hitch Bike Rack Reviews

Great bike rack

Reviewed By Alberto T (DOWNERS GROVE, IL) Reviewed for a 2015 Cadillac SRX —6/27/2016 10:38 AM

Swing away option is great!! Didn't realize how much I needed it. Only issue with this rack is its pretty difficult to put 4 bikes on it. Have trouble with 2 adult and 2 kids mountain bikes.

sturdy rack

Reviewed By Denise R (CARSON CITY, NV) Reviewed for a 2006 Nissan Xterra —6/27/2016 10:16 AM

I've used this rack a couple of times now. Easy to install. Seems pretty sturdy. Easy tilt and return. Bikes do bounce a bit when going over large dips or bumps, but for the most part the bikes don't move. Seems well manufactured. Reason for four stars not five is the fact that the rubber securing straps are so hard to manipulate. Racheting type strap would be better. Also, there is no way you can get four bikes on there. I only ever intended to carry 3 bikes anyway.

Big, heavy and tough

Reviewed By William a. H (Middlesboro, KY) Reviewed for a 2015 GMC Yukon XL —6/26/2016 7:44 PM

Just took a load of bikes to the beach two days after getting it and there were no problems. It's heavy but that makes it sturdy and the racks themselves are infinitely adjustable. I was pleased, very pleased with everything but the weight. Goes on and comes off say.
