Yakima Ridgeback Hitch Mount Bike Rack Reviews

Well designed bike rack

Reviewed By Joshua W (Plainfield, IL) Reviewed for a 2014 Subaru Forester —4/12/2017 9:02 AM

This is the first hitch rack I have bought and I am pleasantly surprised. The hardest part is lining the holes up with the pin wich is only used for lining up the rack. I wish I would have known this before trying it out the first time.Holds the bike well.

Saris Bike Porter Hitch Mount Bike Rack Reviews

Perfect

Reviewed By Rachel H (POQUOSON, VA) Reviewed for a 2016 Dodge Durango —4/11/2017 1:02 PM

I love SARIS racks, got a new and bigger vehicle so had to upgrade. Assembly and installation was super easy! I have a women's road and mountain bike and two kids bikes. Took a couple minutes to arrange them but easily figured it out. Only negative is using the tilt function with all the bike on it. Had have one of my kids pull up on it while I pushed bikes in towards car to releive the pressure on the joint.

Kuat Transfer Lock Kit Reviews

It is decent

Reviewed By Todd T (Redding, CA) Reviewed for a 2002 Mazda Protege —4/11/2017 5:33 AM

I knew going in what I was getting. You are essentially paying for the hitch lock (the Kuat Transfer uses a threaded hitch pin so just any locking pin does not work) and you get some bonus cables which go into the arms to lock your bikes up. The problem is the cables are not long enough, and barely make it around the frame. I would only use them for a short term lock situation anyway, any real thief would make quick work of the cables. Also, the hitch lock fits very loosely.
