High quality construction and excellent design. Assembly and installation was quick and easy. I typically haul two mountain bikes and two road bikes. They fit perfectly and there is absolutely no sway or movement of the bikes or rack while traveling down the road. The rack is easily lowered and raised to access the rear vehicle hatch even when loaded with four bikes. I'm an Industrial (product) Designer and I know good design and a good product when I see it. You can certainly spend more money on a rack but why? I highly recommend this bike rack.

This is a great bike rack. The adjustable angle strap mounts prevent the bikes from swaying during transport. The only downside to this hitch mount bike rack is that it requires a bolt to mount to the vehicle's hitch which takes some time to install with a ratchet, however this bolt also reduces wobble in the hitch while mounted to the car. I like to remove the rack from my car during daily commuting so I would prefer some type of a quick release instead of the bolt that requires what seems to be 100 turns until it is tight. Otherwise this is a great bike rack.

The Pro:Easy to install and mount the bike. Stable, no rattling/rocking. Lock option for the arms is a plus. Adjustable distance between bike mount, 1 or 2 bike option is nice. Fold forward when not in use. Folds down to provide access to hatch back door opening clearance. The Con:The locking device for the hitch is optional instead of included like Yakima. There isn't an easy option to use generic cable lock. Rack extends quite far from vehicle if your hitch already sticks out somewhat.

I found it difficult to put together because the holes didn't match up. After I got help and we readjusted a few things, I got all the bolts installed. Then, I don't like the bolt that came with it to hook to the SUV hitch. SOOO, I went out and bought a lock...well that didn't work and I bought TWO sizes just in case. I would like a lock for it but am not sure now where to get one. The bolt to hold the rack to the hitch doesn't go all the way through so I want it to be more secure.Having said all that, when I get the lock I want, I have a feeling this will be an excellent rack. I just think it should have the lock and be easier to put together. I can tell it will be secure.

Solid, well made product. Easy to assemble, install and remove (a tool is included). Good access to rear of vehicle. Clever system for strapping bikes to the rack. Good value, don't feel like I'm paying for the Thule name. Only criticism is how the rack attaches to the hitch. Unit comes with a bolt, requiring the supplied tool or a wrench for removal. I would prefer to be able to use my own pin, clip and lock. It would be easy to supply the rack with an extra pair of holes for this purpose. TR doesn't provide a rating between good and excellent so I rounded up, but if they did I would rate this unit "very good". The attachment system is the only thing that keeps it from being excellent in every way.
